"The Blog Life-Cycle"

I LOVE this article, found it yesterday. It echoes my belief that most people launch into blogging and will  stop (pretty quickly).

Their stats are that 95% of blogs are abandoned within 120 days. 60-80% in the first month.

Well I can bore you to death or you can read it here.

If you're wondering whether to bother clicking, the very funny Blog Lifecycle is worth it!

The statistic was misinterpreted. The real statistic was that 95% of blogs had not been updated in the past 120 days when the survey was taken in 2008. This is still a startling statistic to me, but it doesn't say much about a blog's lifecycle.

Blogging is a fun way to express your thoughts and opinions, and share them to the world. But as we routinely do it, our interest and urge to communicate with the world may depreciate. In the worst cases, some would lack the inspiration to write. Others also become so busy that they can't find time to update their blogs. But when they do miss doing it, their hunger to write comes alive again. That's when they update their blogs.
